BA Fashion History and Theory is for students who want to obtain a knowledge and understanding of the history of western fashion from the Renaissance to the present day. Embedded in the creative environment of fashion at Central Saint Martins, the course is for fashion thinkers and theorists, who want to experience a stimulating connection between theory and practice. Fashion is studied as image, object and text and students consider the design, manufacture, promotion and consumption of fashion within social, historical and cultural contexts. This course is part of the Fashion programme.
